Clark and NFL player Christian McCaffrey were classmates at Valor Christian High School in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
He won the Colorado state high school golf championship twice while a student, and in 2011 he was voted player of the year. He enrolled at Oklahoma State in the first place in 2012 and placed ninth in the stroke play of the 2013 U.S. Amateur.
He earned GolfWeek Player of the Year honors and the Pac-12 conference championship after transferring to Oregon in 2016. In 2017, he earned a business degree.
Clark finished in a tie for 23rd at Web.com Tour qualifying in 2017, earning his card for the 2018 season. He made 24 starts that season, with four top-10 finishes. By finishing 16th on the tour money list, he qualified for the PGA Tour for the 2018–19 season.

Arizona’s Scottsdale is Clark’s home. His mother passed away from breast cancer while he was a student at Oklahoma State, and his father was a former professional tennis player. He is a believer.
