School Resumption Dates For 2024 academic Session
Government Schools Resumption dates in Nigeria are usually announced by the Federal Ministry of Education but in recent times resident state commission for education in various state have been given the ability to make slight reviews on school resumption dates . For the first term, schools usually resume in early September after the long holiday, resumption dates are often between 3rd September to 15th September depending on the adjustments done by the state ministry of education, while for the second term schools are expected to resume around first or second week of January after the short Christmas and New year holiday and in 2024 there won’t be an exception to that irrespective of the school.
Finally, for the third term, schools would be expected to resume for the last term in the new class after the Easter break, In 2024 schools should be expected to resume from Tuesday 2nd of April to 15th of April because Monday will be public holidays to mark Easter Monday.
Once again, note that the date depends on the schools especially considering the fact that private schools reserve the right to announce their resumption dates to to suit their academic calendar for the year but the differences are often times not too visible.
