Mercy Johnson Okijie is one of the well endowed Nigerian actress that hails from Okene in Kogi State. She was born by Mrs Elizabeth Johnson to a former naval officer Mr Daniel Johnson on 28 August 1984 in Lagos, she took the fourth position out of seven Children Mr Daniel fathered.
Mercy Johnson was born 28 August 1984, which means that she will be 40years old on 28 August 2024 while on 28 August 2026 she will clock 42 years old.
She started her primary school in Calabar and later left to proceed her education in Lagos State due to her father transfer being a naval officer. After her primary school education she left to River State for her Secondary School education.
Mercy Johnson started her career immediately after she finish her second school education acting a role in the movie titled The Maid, after the movie she has played different roles in many more movies. some of the movies are Hustlers, Baby Oku in America, War in the Palace.
Her hardworking in the industry earn her an award for Best Supporting Actress at the 2009 African Movie Award ceremony and Best Actress award at the 2013 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards for her role in the comedy movie Dumebi the Dirty Girl.
