Faiq Bolkiah Initial career
Bolkiah signed a one-year contract with the Southampton F.C. Academy in 2009 while still playing for A.F.C. Newbury. He continued to work for Southampton at least through December 2011. After training with Reading and going on trial with Arsenal, Bolkiah signed a two-year youth contract with Premier League team Chelsea in 2014.
Bolkiah participated in the 2013 Lion City Cup against Corinthians, Eintracht Frankfurt, PSV Eindhoven, and a Singapore youth team while playing for Arsenal. He contributed to the 2-1 triumph over the Singaporean squad by scoring a goal. He left the team in December 2015 because his deal with Chelsea was slated to expire in the summer of 2016.

On September 23, 2020, Bolkiah agreed to join Martimo of Portugal’s Primeira Liga on a free transfer. Three months later, after being selected for the starting lineup, he made his under-23 team debut in a 3-3 home tie with Sporting CP U23. In a league game against Sporting CP 45 days later, he was used as a Martimo substitute for the first time.
He entered the game as a substitute during Martimo B’s 2-1 victory over Gondomar on April 11, 2021, to make his senior debut.
Chonburi
Bolkiah joined Thai League 1 team Chonburi in December 2021 in preparation for the second half of the 2021–22 season. He was the first Bruneian to ever sign up for a Thai club.

Bolkiah was qualified to represent both Brunei and the United States. He was scouted by the American youth teams, but he opted to play for Brunei instead. He did so in the U19 and U23 levels, as well as at the 2015 Southeast Asian Games. He contributed to Timor Leste’s 1-2 loss in that event.
On October 15, 2016, he was scheduled to play against Timor-Leste in a 2016 AFF Championship qualification game, making his senior international debut. He made his debut in the 2-1 triumph, starting the game and playing all 90 minutes.
