Court remands person for pouring boiling water on her co-spouse in Kwara
An Ilorin Officer’s Court has remanded a 42-year-old housewife, Lola Abdulsalam, in a Remedial office for supposedly pouring high temp water on her co-spouse, Bilikisu Abdulsalam.
The police on Friday recorded a two-count first data report against Lola, verging on causing horrifying hurt and slander of character, in spite of segments 247 and 292 of the reformatory code.
As per the police, the respondent supposedly offended and attacked Bilikisu while she was eliminating a dead rodent at the secondary passage.
“The respondent (Lola) began beating her (Bilikisu) with a brush, calling her a witch and later went into the kitchen to get bubbled water from the fire and poured it on her body, leaving her face, bosoms and different pieces of her body seriously consumed,” the charge sheet peruses.
“The casualty was subsequently hurried to House Medical clinic, Olorunshogo, Ilorin, where she was conceded for therapy,”
