Burna Boy made a breakthrough in 2012 when he released a song titled “Like to party”, the most recognized single from his debut studio album titled L.I.F.E released in 2013.

As of 2017, Burna sealed a deal with Bad Habit/Atlantic Records in the United States and Warner Music Group internationally. Burna’s third studio album Outside marked his major label debut. Burna Boy was featured in a song titled “Sunshine Riptide” which was a track from Fall Out Boy’s seventh studio album MANIA in early 2018.

His third studio album was released Outside on 26 January 2018 and Described as a mixtape Outside consists mostly of Afrobeats, dancehall, reggae and road rap. Which gave him opportunity to features guest vocals from English musicians, such as J Hus, Lily Allen and Mabel. Outside was supported by six singles: “Rock Your Body”, “Streets of Africa”, “Koni Baje”, “Sekkle Down”, “Heaven’s Gate” and “Ye”.
