Dino Melaye condoles with Bode Gbadebo over wife’s death
Senator representing Kogi West in the upper chamber of the National Assembly, Dino Melaye, on Wednesday sympathised with LEADERSHIP’s deputy editor, Mr. Bode Gbadebo on the passage of his wife, Janet Kikelomo.
In a statement issued on his behalf by Gideon Ayodele, his Special Assistant on Media, Melaye expressed shock on hearing news that the journalist had lost his beloved wife and conveyed his heart deep condolences to the bereaved Gbadebo.
“On behalf of my self, family and the good people of Kogi West Senatorial District, I wish to express my heart deep condolences to my brother, Mr Bode Gbadebo, an editor with the Leadership Newspapers Group.
“With heavy heart and shock, I received the ugly news of the painful departure of your dearest wife Mrs Gbadebo.
“It’s most saddening, painful and unfortunate to hear the sudden demise of your beloved wife, after a brief illness whom I learnt died at a private hospital in Lagos State,” the lawmaker who himself is currently recuperating said.
The embatled Kogi politician bemoaned that death is an inevitable end of all mortals, and therefore joined millions of Nigerians to sympathise with Bode Gbadebo.
“This quite devastating and sad. Our solace and consolation is in God who is the giver and taker of life.
“May God almighty grant the entire bereaved Bode Gbadebo family and the management of Leadership Newspaper, the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss of the departed.
“Please, on behalf of Kogi West Constituents, once again, accept my condolences. May her dutiful soul rest in everlasting peace. Amen!”
