Janet, wife of LEADERSHIP’s Bode Gbadebo laid to rest
Remains of Mrs Janet Kikelomo Gbadebo, late wife of Mr. Bode Gbadebo, a deputy editor with LEADERSHIP newspapers, has been laid to rest at her husband’s Oke Adunin residence in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
The deceased who passed away in Lagos on Friday, May 11, was aged 41.
She breathed her last at a private hospital in Isolo after being hurriedly evacuated from the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH, where she was being attended to before the state joined the going JOHESU strike action across the nation.
In his exhortation during the funeral service, Rev. Kehinde Ogunwale who presided over the short service charged Christians to live their lives as citizens of heaven.
He said that would enable them to live in full awareness that this world does not belong to anyone, and that God can do whatever he wishes in his wisdom.
Speaking on his wife, a visibly emotional Bode Gbadebo described his wife of eight years as very loving, peace-loving and caring; he prayed God to grant her soul eternal rest.
Family, relatives, friends and church members also paid glowing tributes to Mrs Gbadebo who they described as a wonderful woman and strong believer in God.
Earlier, the corpse was unveiled by her husband which paved way for sympathisers to take a glance at her and last respect to the deceased.
Members of Accountable Leadership for Better Nigeria Initiative, ALBNI, where Mr. Gbadebo is director of Media and Communications was represented by Mr Remi Adebayo of Tempo online newspaper, radio presenter, Mr. Olu Akindele and Mr Segun Anifowose, a crew member of ‘Oyato‘ on Love FM.
